We all have had that discussion to weather speed or accuracy is better. Some may say to put rounds down range faster to suppress the threat immediately is best. Some say you need to be accurate and aim small, miss small. Personally, I think neither is better than the other. It is always situation dependent. I do lean toward getting rounds down range toward the threat initially to suppress and then use well aimed shots after that. But that would be in an ambush scenario. If I am doing what I need to be doing, like applying my OODA loop, understanding my METT-TC and my operational environment, then I will not need to surprise but to accurately engage the threat first.
In a two way range, accuracy does not need to be dead on, on the bullseye. It needs to be in any of the vital areas that will enable the threat to be eliminated.
Some refer to point shooting as a technique to quickly get rounds on target.
What are your opinions n this subject? No one answer is correct, as the situation depends on your operational environment.
